‘You belong among the wildflowers
You belong in a boat out at sea
Sail away, kill off the hours
You belong somewhere you feel free’

The flowers are awesome and the poem is unbelievable.
I love the fact you are Irish. I studied in a convent school where the nuns were Irish. They were strict, I learned a lot of songs from them.
One of the song was, ‘In Derry Vale Beside The Singing River.’
I still remember the song, though I was seven years old then.
Thank you Kathy. 🙂

Isn’t it a funny thing Ranu, memory? I always recall a song I learned in first grade (6 years old) also taught to me by the Catholic nuns, who taught taught us with an iron fist and could be cruel. it was a french song called “On the Bridge of Avignon.” and the chorus was “On the Bridge of Avignon, oh the dancing, oh the dancing. On the bridge of Avignon, Oh the Dancing, in a ring!” Never forgot the words or the tune. Thank you for this childhood remembrance. xxo
