I am an ex New Yorker who still misses the vibrancy of the city. I seek out the humor in every day life and relay it through my stories in the hope others will appreciate as well. I love to write about growing up with my fantastically unique Irish mother whose memory inspires me every day. Although she is no longer with us, her antics are an endless staple for my tales. I currently live in Connecticut with my husband, two sons and toy fox terrier Anabel. View more posts
Makes me want to drive down that road and enjoy the countryside. Thanks.

I lived in your country for a decade (’96 – ’06) and was mesmerized by these colours. Here in Australia we don’t really have clearly defined seasons like you do, and certainly nothing as beautiful as that in our Autumn (fall). Beautiful memories invoked by your photo. Thank you.

Hi Kim, as they say “the grass is always greener.” I long to visit Australia which I have heard is a beautiful place and bask in the warmth. Several people who have re-located to your country say it is a wonderful place to live but I imagine that is dependent on where you are geographically and one’s likes. I am happy my post brought back special memories…

Hi Kathy — yes, plenty of heat here — too much at the moment though. I’d like a little more cooler days thank you very much. 🙂 But still, it is a great place to live. Have a great day.
