The softened light, the veiling haze,
The calm repose of autumn days,
Steal gently o’er the troubled breast,
Soothing life’s weary cares to rest.

I am an ex New Yorker who still misses the vibrancy of the city. I seek out the humor in every day life and relay it through my stories in the hope others will appreciate as well. I love to write about growing up with my fantastically unique Irish mother whose memory inspires me every day. Although she is no longer with us, her antics are an endless staple for my tales. I currently live in Connecticut with my husband, two sons and toy fox terrier Anabel.

Gorgeous colors. I have been to Connecticut once, in the summer, and the greens of the leaves in the trees were overwhelming—but now we have the Fall colors. Outstanding choices. Thanks for sharing the beauty that surrounds you.

Beautiful colors, Kathy. I spotted something very similar in the park last week but, fortunately, I didn’t use it today. 🙂

So interesting how the colors are clustered – that vibrant red stripe up the tree, then the yellow and green beyond. You’ve captured the brilliance of all the hues on what looks like a gorgeous day!

The red stripe was what made me pause to take photo while walking my dog.. Artistic nature. Thank you for complimenting!

That tree in the middle wants to get out there first. We just visited the east coast after my husband scientifically researched the perfect days to leaf-peep, but alas, we were a teeny bit ahead of the peak. So, thank you.

Sorry timing was not quite perfect J.B. but hope you had a nice trip regardless! I have just noticed leaves getting more vibrant in last 2 days but think we still have a bit more time till they are at their absolute peak! My husband is in VT this weekend. Can’t wait to see how he describes.
